Ambassador Prof. Peter Ngure Hosts H.E. Thi Van Anh Nguyen and Vietnam NATCOM Secretary General

The Permanent Delegate of Kenya to UNESCO, Ambassador Professor Peter Ngure, had the privilege of hosting H.E. Thi Van Anh Nguyen and the Secretary General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the upcoming conference on cultural heritage and authenticity, scheduled to take place in Hanoi, Vietnam. The discussions focused on the significance of the conference and its potential to influence the cultural heritage landscape, particularly in relation to the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of authentic cultural heritage.

Ambassador Prof. Ngure welcomed the engagement and underscored the importance of continued collaboration among UNESCO Member States in advancing dialogue around culture, heritage, and shared global values.

The Kenya Delegation to UNESCO looks forward to continued cooperation with Vietnam and other partners in promoting the safeguarding and appreciation of cultural heritage.
